Member of the Governing Council at the International Institute for the Unification of the Private Law (UNIDROIT-Rome, Italy) Legal Exert in International Private Law, Digital Assets, Financial Law, and Corporate Governance.

B. Broka is a member of the Governing Council at the International Intergovernmental organization Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT- Rome, Italy) and currently is actively participating in the Working Group for drafting a Guidance documents “Digital assets and Private Law”. She is a Legal Advisor to several projects of the blockchain ecosystem- LYOTRADE, LYOPAY, Cashaa, Protocol 33, Creed and Bear, TenPointOne, Zenit World, BeePayments, Eques- KIMKO Dao and others. She has been an expert and member of several Law Drafting working groups in Latvia and international organizations like UNIDROIT, European Commission.
B. Broka has more that 20 years of an academic and scientific research experience teaching Law in several universities around the world (Latvia, Estonia, Brazil, USA, Greece, Spain). Author of the book “Legal Writing and Analysis”.
She has an important corporate governance experience since she has been a Chair-woman of the Supervisory Council of the International Airport of Riga, Member of the Board of Riga Freeport Authority. She is a speaker in international conferences, summits advocating blockchain technology and business opportunities around technologies, about adoption of the cryptocurrencies and legal challenges within blockchain, WEB3, Metaverse ecosystems.
She is a former athlete and still passionate of sports competitions participating in Triathlons, marathons, currently she is a President of the Latvian Biathlon Federation.
